What's the difference between being stuck in traffic on a two-lane road or on a huge freeway?

Cyberbay.net uses only the finest equipment available.  We use Lucent digital modems on our end, and they developed k56flex, the dominant standard. Many other companies use Ascend equipment, which is known for its high drop rates and low connection speeds.

We use switched hubs and Cisco routers.  Our routers have more than enough memory to hold the entire Internet routing table. Many companies don't use enough memory in their routers, causing the familiar 'Site Not Found' message.

We tune, optimize and base all criteria on speed as the user sees it.  We routinely test our connection speed and stability from different locations within the Houston area and throughout the Internet. This is our yardstick for speed.

We buy direct from the internet backbone and from providers who do NOT sell dialup access themselves.  This eliminates the possibility of our providers shortchanging our customers for theirs.

We provide 24 hour-a-day monitoring of our network in a controlled-access building with 24 hour security.

We keep daily backups of mirrored servers.

We offer free Front Page extensions (Front Page 98), and NT hosting.

We support SQL databases, and both ASP and CGI scripting.
