Installing everything you need for Internet access involves
several steps depending on how your current settings are set on the computer you wish to
connect to us.
The following instructions will show you how to:
****All three things above must be setup in order for your
connection to work.
Pre-setup instructions: You may
need your Windows 98 CD for this installation. If you have the Window CAB files on your
harddrive you may not need the CD. The below instruction may prompt you to insert your
Windows 98 CD to complete installation.

Installing Dial-up Networking |

- Double click on "My Computer" icon on your desktop.
- Double click on "Control Panel" icon
- Double click on "Add/remove program" icon.
- Choose "Windows Setup" tab at the top.
- Highlight the "Communication" area (Leave the boxed
checked)
- Click the "Details" button
- Click the "Dial-up Networking" (Make sure it is
checked)
- Click "OK" and then "OK" on the next
screen.

- Double click on "My Computer" icon.
- Double click on "Control Panel" icon
- Double click on "Network" icon.
- Click the Configurations tab.
- Make sure that there is a "Dialup adapter" in this
window. If not, click "add" then click "Adapter" and then
"Add" again. Choose "Microsoft" and then click, "OK".
- Click the Configurations Tab. Make sure that there is a
"TCP/IP" in the Network Protocol Window. If not, click "Add", click
"Protocol", then click "Add"...choose "Microsoft" and then
choose "TCP/IP". Click "ok" and "ok" again.
- Restart the computer if prompted to.
- Double click on "My Computer" icon.
- Double click on "Control Panel" icon
- Double click on "Network".
- Click the configurations Tab and highlight the
"TCP/IP" and then click on Properties.
- Click OK to the TCP/IP Properties Information Message if it
comes up.
- Click on the DNS Configurations Tab then click on "Enable
DNS".
- Type your Login Name also know as username (look on your user
information sheet) in the Host section.
- Caution: You may need your
Windows 95 CD for this installation. If you have the Window CAB files on your harddrive
you may not need the CD. You may be prompted to insert your Windows 95 CD to complete
installation.
- Click OK and then Ok again.
- You will be prompted to restart your computer. Click Yes to do
so.
- After your computer restarts, Just close all windows that
appear. You will now need to configure Dial-up Networking to connect to us.

| Set up Dial-up Networking to dial into our access POPs |

- Click "Dial-up Networking" then "Make New
Connection"
- Type "Cyberbay" for the computer you are dialing.
Choose "Next".
- Type in the phone number that you wish to use and then click
"Next".
- If you are in an area code that is different than our dialup
number then you will need to add the area
code of our dialup number as part of the number itself. In other words, make it a 10 digit
number instead of 7 digits. Do not add it in the area
code section.
- If you will be dialing in from a long distance location, then
you will need to add the area code in the area code section and delete it from the dialup
number section.
- ISDN users please note: Type in the ISDN phone number you will be using only one time for 1b (64k)
connection or two times seperated by an & symbol for 2b (128k) and then click
"Next" and then "Finish". You can only type in the number twice if you
have a 128K connection package. To type in the number twice, use this format example, do not use these numbers!: "9999999999&999999999" Do
not add the area code in the area code section. If you will be dialing in from a long
distance location, then you will need to add the area code in the area code section and
delete it from the dialup number section.
- Type "Cyberbay" in the text box and click
"Finish" (You should be able to see a Cyberbay Icon in the Dial-up Networking
Group)
- Use the "Right" mouse
button to click Once on the Cyberbay Icon and
choose "Properties".
- (use left mouse button from now on) Click on the "Server
Type" button.
- Choose "PPP:Internet,WindowsNT Server,Win98"
in Type of Dial-up Server.
- Make sure only "Enable software compression"
is checked in the Advanced option section.
- Make sure only "TCP/IP" is checked in the
Allowed network protocol section.
- Click on "TCP/IP" settings
- Make sure "Server Assigned IP address" is chosen
- Choose "Server Assigned Name Server addresses"
- Make sure the "Enable IP header compression" and
"Use default gateway" are both checked marked ...then click OK...OK...and
again...OK
- Finally, double click the "Cyberbay" Icon and
provide the username (your login ID) and password (remember login id and password are
case-sensitive).
- Click on "Connect" button. This should allow your
modem to connect with our servers.
- Now minimize the connection screen and proceed to use any
Internet application that you want to use such as Eudora, Netscape, Internet Explorer,
etc.....
